Two Ingredient Kefir Bread Rolls

These kefir bread rolls require just two ingredients and deliver on both taste and texture. Made with Kerry Kefir, they’re naturally fermented and packed with gut-friendly goodness. Perfect for sweet or savoury toppings, they’re a versatile staple for any kitchen.

Serve with cream and jam, honey, or fresh berries.

Fill with avocado, eggs, cheese, or your favourite sandwich fillings.

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan 180°C) / Gas Mark 6. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the dough:
    In a large bowl, combine the self-raising flour and kefir. Mix with a spoon or your hands until it forms a soft dough.
  3. Shape the rolls:
    Lightly flour your hands and divide the dough into 6–8 equal portions. Roll into balls and place on the prepared tray.
  4. Bake:
    Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Cool slightly and serve:
    Enjoy warm or allow to cool before slicing.
