This kefir smoothie bowl is not only visually appealing but also packed with nutrients and flavours that will keep you energised throughout the morning.
Serves: 1-2 people
Prep time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 240 grams (1 cup) Kerry Kefir
- 1 ripe banana
- 70 grams (1/2 cup) frozen blueberries
- 70 grams (1/2 cup) frozen raspberries
- 1 tablespoon honey to taste (you can substitute with maple syrup or agave nectar)
- Optional toppings: sliced fresh fruits, nuts, seeds (like chia or flax), granola, or coconut flakes
Notes
- Honey: You can substitute honey with maple syrup, agave nectar or chicory root syrup.
- Banana: Try replacing banana with frozen mango
Method
- Blend the Base: In a blender, combine the kefir, banana, frozen blueberries, frozen raspberries, and honey. Blend until smooth. The mixture should be thick enough to eat with a spoon; if it’s too thin, you can add more frozen fruit or a handful of ice to thicken it.
- Prepare the Toppings: Slice any fresh fruits you like, such as strawberries, kiwi, or banana. Gather your choice of nuts and seeds.
- Assemble the Bowl: Pour the smoothie mixture into a bowl. Arrange the sliced fruits, nuts, seeds, granola, and coconut flakes on top in an appealing pattern.
- Serve Immediately: Enjoy your kefir smoothie bowl right away for the best texture and freshness.
